Our volunteers are highly valued team members who we hope derive as much pleasure from serving as our service users derive from them and if you would like to volunteer please call us.
Our approach is that we only ask that you commit to a finite timescale i.e. for six weeks (and not necessarily consecutive) and then take a break.
We dont want you to be worn out or feel it is a burden instead of knowing the blessing that it really is to serve at Mustard Seed and work in a fantastic team.
If you wish to commit to more time then great but we have found that volunteering in manageable blocks is far better for you and is easier for our planning of resources and activities.
As a Christian faith charity we expect that all those who volunteer would respect the faith we profess, promote and guides the directors, staff and supporters of the charity.
Mustard Seed ministers the love of God to all regardless of race, ability, gender or faith and we have reasonable expections of standards and respect from those who would represent us in any capacity.
We expect all volunteers to adhere to a "volunteers agreement" in line with many other charities practice and we like to think this raises standards for everyone concerned.
The welfare physical, mental and spiritual well-being of those we support is paramount and a full CRB check is carried out with mentoring support.
